Green Key Label

The Van der Valk Hotel Liège Congress has obtained the Green Key label, first international environmental label for hotel accommodation.This is the first sustainable tourism label.

This label certifies that our environmental approach meets more than about a hundred criteria in all areas of sustainable tourism management. All these criteria allow us to reduce the environmental impact and to commit ourselves to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Among the themes of the Green Key :

• Environmental policy: general environmental management, employee training and social responsibility

• Environmental awareness: information for guests, displays of eco-friendly practices

• Water management

• Waste management

• Energy management

• Responsible purchasing

• Living environment

To obtain the Green Key label, we therefore modified our environmental policy to comply with the label's standards.
