A Fine Arts Museum and an International Exhibition Center
The artistic project of La Boverie offers both a program of international exhibitions and a new setting for the permanent collections of the City of Liège.
One level of the building will host the best of the Fine Arts collections in the city of Liège: Lambert Lombard, Gérard de Lairesse, Ingres, Gauguin, Chagall, Picasso, Evenepoel, Delvaux, Magritte and others will attest to the modernity of the Art at all times, from the Renaissance to the present day. The course, accessible to the greatest number, will be accompanied by interactive didactic support in four languages.
The first floor will host significant temporary exhibitions, on about 3000 m2. These exhibitions will be organized either by the City of Liège, in collaboration with the Louvre, or by other operators.
It is indeed a rich program of artistic or civilization exhibitions where all forms of arts will be mobilized in order to totally immerse the visitor in the defined theme.
The scenography of the permanent collections was supervised by the Louvre Museum, artistic advisor of the Boverie.
