Boverie Museum
The artistic project of La Boverie offers both a program of international exhibitions and a new setting for the permanent collections of the City of Liège.
A level of the building houses the best of the Fine Arts collections of the City of Liège: Lambert Lombard, Gérard de Lairesse, Ingres, Gauguin, Chagall, Picasso, Evenepoel, Delvaux, Magritte, and others will attest to the modernity of art throughout the ages, from the Renaissance to the present day. The route, accessible to the widest audience, will be accompanied by interactive educational support in four languages.
The first floor hosts, for its part, large-scale temporary exhibitions on approximately 3000 m2. These exhibitions are organized either by the City of Liège, in collaboration with the Louvre, or by other operators.
Indeed, it is a rich program of artistic or cultural exhibitions where all forms of art will be utilized to fully immerse the visitor in the chosen theme.
The scenography of the permanent collections was supervised by the Louvre Museum, artistic advisor of La Boverie.
